Sontum wins fire safety equipment deal with Statoil

Sontum Fire & Safety, a division of Align, has been awarded a frame agreement for the supply of products and services related to fire safety equipment on all Statoil’s offshore installations and onshore facilities.

According to company’s statement, the contract is expected to give Sontum an additional annual turnover of about NOK 90 million ($11.48M) through its five-year fixed period, with options to extend for up to six further years. The agreement includes service, maintenance, modification and testing of active fire protection equipment, as well as the supply of a wide range of technical safety equipment.

“We are very proud that Statoil has shown their confidence in Sontum by selecting us to continue providing this type of service to them,” says Audun Hellesøy, the company’s CEO.

“The contract is of great significance in a challenging market, and Sontum is very pleased that Statoil has again chosen our solutions which contribute to cost effective solutions and quality products. The contract confirms our position as the market leader within maintenance of firefighting systems in the Norwegian oil and gas industry.”
