Statoil awards subsea contract to DOF

DOF Subsea AS, a subsidiary of DOF ASA, has been awarded a call-off on an existing Survey Frame Agreement with Statoil Petroleum AS for 2015.

The value of the contract is estimated at NOK 200 million. The call-off has a firm period of 8 months and includes seabed mapping, pipeline inspection, lay support and light construction services. Project execution will be handled by DOF Subsea’s operating centre in Bergen, Norway.

Jan-Kristian Haukeland, Executive Vice President of DOF Subsea, states: “DOF Subsea is a leading supplier of survey services in the North Sea. With the fifth call-off in four years on the existing frame agreement for Statoil, we are well positioned to further develop our strong position in the region. Our professional team of survey personnel has been successful in delivering excellent subsea services, and we are pleased to see that this results in strong relationships with our clients.”

The specialized RSV, Geosund, will carry out the operations which are primarily located in Norwegian areas of the North Sea.
