Statoil declares options for two Simon Møkster vessels

Statoil_declares_options_for_two_Simon_Møkster_vesselsNorway’s Simon Møkster Shipping has informed that Statoil declared options for the vessels Stril Pioner and Stril Poseidon. 

The Stril Pioner was one of the first gas fueled supply vessels in North Sea operation and has been operating for Statoil since delivery in July 2003.

In 2012, Statoil extended the contract for the Stril Pioner with two years firm contract that started in July 2013 with further two by two years options. Statoil has now declared its first option.

The Stril Pioner is a large platform supply vessel (PSV) of a VS-4403(LNG) design. It is 95m long and 20,4m wide with a dead weight (DWT) of more than 6000t.

The second vessel, the Stril Poseidon, was also delivered in 2003 and it is on a firm contract with Statoil until July 25, 2015. Statoil has now declared its one two-year option which will start after the current contract expires, in July 2015.

It is a field support and rescue vessel of a VS-483 design. The Stril Poseidon is 91.4m long and 18.2 m wide.
