TAQA Working to Restart North Cormorant Production (UK)

TAQA Bratani has reported that production on North Cormorant, Tern and Eider is in the process of being restarted.

The company on Sunday evacuated 92 workers from the North Cormorant platform in the UK North Sea due to a gas leak on the facility.

“TAQA will begin re-manning of North Cormorant as soon as logistically possible and expects to have all personnel back on board by end of this week,” said the company in an e-mail.

The North Cormorant platform is owned and operated by TAQA Bratani Ltd and is located approximately 109 miles north-east of Lerwick in the Shetlands, 310 miles north-east of Aberdeen.
