Technip hires Boa’s OCV for Gulf of Mexico ops

French oilfield services firm, Technip, has awarded a contract to offshore oil and gas industry service provider, Boa, for light construction, heavy lift and possible umbilical lay operations and installations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Boa said on Tuesday that the contract will last for up to five months including mobilization and options.

The company also stated that the contract will entail utilization of the offshore construction vessel Boa Sub C, including the 400 tonnes AHC main crane supported by the 30 tonnes AHC crane, both OI Millennium WROV’s and the 2500 tonnes carousel.

In addition, the contract entails that Boa provides the project and construction crew as well.
