TGS extends contract for seismic vessel Polarcus Adira

Polarcus and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA have signed an agreement to extend 3D vessel charter, offshore Norway.

Namely, in April 2015, TGS hired Polarcus’ 3D seismic vessel Polarcus Adira for a period of three months with an option for a further 3 months extension. TGS now used that option that will start immediately after the completion of the current charter for TGS.

According to Polarcus, the second charter  is expected to run for 2 months.

In a separate statement, TGS said that upon completion of the initial survey in Barents Sea Southeast, the company elected to extend the charter to acquire a further 3,000 km2 of multi-client 3D seismic in the Norwegian Barents Sea.
