The Netherlands: Counting Down to Offshore Energy 2011

Only one week to go for the 4th edition of Offshore Energy. For the first time in its existence, Offshore Energy takes place in Amsterdam and the event is bigger than ever. At 11 & 12 October, 300 exhibitors will show their products in an 8000 sq.m. hall of the Amsterdam RAI. 5000 visitors are expected to come and visit the event (entrance is free). Parallel to the exhibition, 50 speakers from the leading firms in the industry will share their knowledge during the conference program. The 4th edition of Offshore Energy will be the place to meet in the Netherlands for the (international) offshore industry.

The number of exhibitors again expanded in comparison to last year (231 in 2010). Also, exhibitors opted for bigger booths. Among the exhibitors are companies like Saudi Aramco, NAM, Fugro and Damen Shipyards Group. Also SPIE, Siemens, Dockwise, MTU, Heinen & Hopman Engineering, DNV and Huisman are exhibiting.

Top list of speakers conference program

The conference program offers three full conferences of a half-day each, enabling delegates to combine their participation with a visit to the exhibition. The Global Energy Outlook conference, including contributions from a.o. Ruud Zoon of GDF Suez, offers an investment outlook bringing you up to date with the latest insights in energy demand and supply, oil price developments and the key role of natural gas. The Deepwater Gas conference will present a global gas market outlook along with the business case for deepwater gas development. A.o. René van Vliet, former Vice President Global LNG of Shell and André Steenhuis, Manager Innovations at Allseas Engineering, will speak during this conference. The Upstream Innovation conference presents cases ranging from extending the operational life of oil and gas fields to solutions which will bring new fields on stream. Companies like Chevron and Jumbo will contribute to this conference. Next to the conferences, the program offers five brief topical sessions on topics like offshore wind, wave & tidal energy and heavy lift. On site registration for the conference program is possible.

Platform for the future

On 11 and 12 October, Amsterdam will be the offshore hotspot. Offshore Energy is the international platform for offshore companies to present their products and activities, future plans, to network, share knowledge and discuss new challenges.
