Brazil’s state-controlled oil company Petrobras signed contracts for 23 support vessels, as part of the 3rd Fleet Renewal Plan for Offshore Support Vessels. The units, type PSV 4500 and OSRV 750, fulfill 60% local content requirements and will be built in Brazil.
Saipem has been awarded new E&C Offshore contracts in Latin America for the total value of approximately $500 million. In Venezuela, Saipem signed with Cardon IV, a 50/50 joint-venture between Eni and Repsol, T&I contracts for the development of the Perla EP Project, in the Gulf of Venezuela.
The new ship will, according to PGS, be the most powerful and efficient marine seismic acquisition vessel ever and the widest ship in the world at the waterline.
