Trendsetter Engineering to provide subsea equipment for Noble’s Leviathan

Trendsetter Engineering has been awarded multiple contracts to design and manufacture subsea production equipment for Noble Energy’s Leviathan project.

Leviathan is a large natural gas field development in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel.

Noble Energy operates Leviathan with a 39.66 percent working interest. Other interest owners are Delek Drilling with 22.67 percent, Avner Oil Exploration with 22.67 percent, and Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) Limited Partnership with the remaining 15 percent.

Trendsetter, a provider of specialized subsea solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry, said that the scope of the work included multiple clamp connection systems, subsea distribution equipment, MEG filter modules, 2-inch connection systems, and subsea manifolds.

The company added that the equipment deliveries would begin in late 2017 through late 2018.

Tony Matson, Trendsetter’s Engineering Director of Projects and Program Director for the company’s Leviathan team, said: “Trendsetter is pleased to be a part of this high-profile project, and we are delighted to continue our excellent working relationship with Noble Energy.

“We look forward to delivering them the highest quality subsea equipment. Leviathan is a world class project for our industry and the state of Israel, and we will do our part to ensure successful execution.”

The Leviathan operator held a first steel cutting ceremony for the project in early March in Houston, only a few days after Wood Group started detailed engineering work on the platform, including both the topsides and the jacket.
