Wintershall contract for PSV Energy Swan firm until October

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has secured a contract extension for one of its platform supply vessels (PSVs) with Wintershall Norge.

GEOS said on Wednesday that it won an extension for the Energy Swan platform supplier.

According to the company, the contract is in direct continuation of the charter contract from 2013.

The Energy Swan was chartered in 2013 for a firm period of four years plus a total of four years of options.

The latest extension for the vessel was in October 2017. The extension was for six months on market level, and Wintershall awarded a further extension of four months in direct continuation which will keep the vessel on a firm contract until October 1, 2018.

GEOS added that Wintershall still has 3,1 years of extension options for the Energy Swan.

The vessel is of ST 216 design and is a large PSV/pipe carrier designed to meet the general market.
