Woodmac podcast: What to expect from 2Q results season?

Oil majors, such as Exxon and Shell, among others, are set to reveal their second quarter financial and operational reports this week, with BP expected next week.

Wood Mackenzie, an energy intelligence group, has posted a podcast taking a look into what to expect when it comes to the 2Q results season in the oil and gas business.

The group’s Senior Vice President Corporate Research Tom Ellacott said in the podcast that he expected to see improved earnings compared to the same quarter of 2016, due to cost cutting initiatives, higher oil prices and bigger refining margins.

But, are we out of the woods yet? Listen to the podcast to hear the answer.
