Zagreb-1 semi-submersible drilling rig left Croatia last Thursday and is now sailing towards Libyan water to start its drilling contract with Total.

Upon arrival, later this week, the rig will be moored at the offshore concession A1-16/3, northwest of Tripoli.

The contract includes drilling of two exploration wells plus two one-well options. The rig is owned by the Croatian drilling contractor, Crosco.

The rig built in 1977, spent almost three years in a shipyard in Trogir, undergoing maintenance and repairs.
